About Us
In 2001 Shelley Frost developed the Make-A-Movie program. Since then she has taught Make-A-Movie Workshops to several hundred children at private and public schools, recreation departments and in private homes. She has also booked dozens of Make-A-Movie birthday parties and events involving over 1000 children. Today, many families and teachers have video cameras in their homes and classrooms. Shelley has seen first-hand how excited kids get when they decide to make a movie. Whether in a Make-A-Movie Workshop or birthday party, Shelley never tires of seeing her casts of kids show their enthusiasm, talent and imaginations at work. Her original, exciting movie scripts for kids are what makes their movie making experiences possible.
In 1994 Shelley produced her first video, "BABYMUGS!" which has sold over 750,000 copies. This success led her to appear on Oprah, Dateline and in People Magazine.
Most of her video work is with children and animals. Titles include: "Kidstuff with Dick Clark," "Real Girls, Real Sports," "Old Friends," and "Little Patriots."
She is the co-author of two books:
THROW LIKE A GIRL, 2000 by Beyond Words Publishing
YOUR ADOPTED DOG, 2007 by The Lyons Press
Shelley is currently in production on a documentary about animal rescue in Mexico titled "Viva Los Perros!" (Long Live the Dogs!).
Shelley teaches drama and acting for the San Carlos Children's Theater in the San Francisco Bay Area.
